A Fresh Start: But Honestly Comes Back Home

A Fresh Start: But Honestly Comes Back Home

Never in a million years I could ever imagine But Honestly to come back home. After almost four years of running But Honestly, I hit pause. To be honest, things got quite rough, with life work, and relationships. I had to take a step back to really think of what the mission of But Honestly truly is - to create safe spaces for meaningful conversations. Do I really believe in the mission? Do I have the strength to push on?

It was really heavy. I’ll be honest with you there were moments I thought about quitting entirely. The pressure, the burnout, and the feeling of being stuck in KL without the support I once had made me question if But Honestly still had a place in my life.

But here I am today! Trying again and hopefully this time, I'm much wiser. Community is what brought me back. A few close friends started to share their stories with me on how the cards have impacted their friends and family. They told me not to quit.

That’s when I made the hardest but best decision: I moved everything back to Kuching, my hometown. Kuching was the rest I needed, it gave me space to breathe again, to reconnect with the brand and seeking out the why behind But Honestly: not for the noise, not for the spotlight, but for the people and the conversations that matter.

And here’s the truth starting again from scratch is terrifying. I don’t have the same resources I once had. I’m building solo now, wearing every hat from product to social media. Content creation terrifies me!

This isn’t a comeback for hype. It’s a comeback for purpose. But Honestly will survive in its mission to create safe spaces for meaningful conversations. I will be collaborating with NGOs and various Charity Organisations to put money to good use; using this brand's mission to help others who truly need it. My vision is to see people set free from social stigmas and experience healing like never before. Kuching, you're in for a treat! Haha see you soon in some of the events coming soon. For my friends and the But Honestly fam in KL, I will come back soon!

If you’ve been with me since day one, thank you for sticking around. If you’re new here, welcome. This next chapter is going to be scrappy, raw, and real — but it’s also going to be fun. We’re building something meaningful again, right here from Kuching and all the way to Kuala Lumpur.

Here’s to second chances.
